Dr. V., an Apostle to the Handmaidens – can be described with INTENT, INTENSITY and INTEGRITY as a
seasoned Christian Counselor with over 30 years experience in mental health counseling, with expertise in women’s issues. BA/MA/PhD degreed, licensed and ordained, Dr. V. is a sought after conference speaker and retreat leader. As the visionary founder of MySisterCare, Inc., (1988) she became a pioneer in the healing movement for women. For more than 15 years she was the host of two cable and local television shows, the Ascended Woman and Critical Moments. From coast to coast Dr. V. has quietly ministered to the needs of women destined for leadership.
She is SheO of Dr VwithSiScessories, a transformational personal development and life coaching consulting firm. Dr. V serves on the Education Council for Kingdom Assemblies of the Apostalic Faith (KAAFI) and on the faculty of Practical Christianity School of Evangelism (PCIE) as well as nFaith Leadership Institute, an initiative of MySisterCare.
She is the visionary behind the popular Woman, By Revelation Conferences and co-author of Woman, By Revelation, theJournal. Previous publishings include “She Said” and Broken TeaCups. As a prolific writer, Dr. V, conducts several writer's retreats (Sistahs Write Retreats, I'm Just Sayin..Writer's Sanctuary and Off Main Street Writers). She has written columns for several local and national Christian Magazines. However, Dr. V. is most proud of her recorded CDs: Love Makes A Woman I & II; SoulW.O.R.K Journal; Women Keeping It Real and the 21st Century Kingdom Woman. Her latest books will be released in the Fall of 2009 entitled “Crystalized Thinking and TeaCup Theology and a feature chapter in Fragmented Heart Healers published by Dr. LaWanna Harrod."
In the last twenty years of her ministry and professional work as an in-home family therapist, Dr. V. has had many occasions to minister to
individuals experiencing catastrophe illnesses such as breast and cervical cancer, heart disease, HIV/AIDS and those suffering from addictions and mental illness. She has challenged them to love and live life embracing eternity in their hearts. Her compassion as a counselor has postured her to be extremely sought out for grief counseling as well as spiritual renewal.
Most recently, Dr. V relocated to Tucson, Arizona to work with Gap Ministries, which is the largest fostercare group home agency in the area. As a Life Coach for the Merge Program/Houseparent Manager for Splash 10, she will manage two vital programs, one for teen moms and the second for youth aging out of fostercare in the Independent Living Program. With Dr. V's 30 plus years of experience which includes extensive work with youth as well as hurting women, we can all agree this was a God Assignment. Dr. V will continue to lead MySisterCare in her role of establishing state chapters throughout the country and she must certainly complete her assignment of "publishing the written word" which will no doubt include her new journey in Arizona.
